Re: Ontario Makes Patients Pay for Hospital Stay

Margo Watt, Toronto

I've just had a similar situation with my 89 year old mother. She was in palliative care at East General Hospital. They moved her to Complex Continuing Care without notice or family consultation, they just decided that she was no longer palliative, 'had been on the wing too long', and shipped her out, despite having breast cancer that has spread to her bones. She has been moved to a 'higher care' wing.

I would love to know who to contact regarding her case.
